Chongyang osmanthus Forest Park is located in the Yumai of Dayaogou mountain in Mufu mountain range, in guihuaquan Town, Chongyang County, Hubei Province.

It has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons, mild climate, abundant rainfall and synchronous hot and humid climate. The park is adjacent to Chongyang County in the East, 106 National Highway in the south, Yueyang Tower in the west, Chibi ancient battlefield of the Three Kingdoms in the north, 20 kilometers away from Beijing Guangzhou railway and Beijing Zhuhai Expressway, less than 2 hours away from Wuhan and Changsha, covering an area of 1000 hectares. Osmanthus fragrans Forest Park has dense vegetation (forest coverage rate is 90%) and various species. There are 5 vegetation types, 17 formations (communities) including Ginkgo biloba, Taxus chinensis, Torreya grandis, and more than 120 kinds of birds, mammals, amphibians such as Caragana, leopard cat, etc. The historical landscape in the park includes Xianren Cave (also known as Red Army cave), the former residence of Hu Sanbao and Zheng Xiuying in shuanghelian, the modern Chinese narrative poem, and the former Soviet site of Chongyang's first county. The natural landscape includes mazijing, wumapanchao, paomatai, guihuaquan and yanzhiao.
