It belongs to crust lava flow. Because of the cooling and contraction of the lava flow crust, the network cracks with different directions are formed. Then the lava flow fills the cracks for many times, and finally the flat lava flow is irregular polygon. Because this multilateral shape is like a turtle's back, it is called "lava turtle's back structure". This kind of geological structure is rare in China. There are at least three lava flow units in the Qiubei structure of the Arshan volcano.

Turtle back rock is composed of turtle back lava structure, which belongs to crusty lava flow. It is an eruptive lava flow. Cracks in different directions are formed on the surface of the crust due to cooling and contraction, forming a network. In the later stage, there are multiple lava flows filling along the cracks, forming mutual intersection. Finally, the flat lava flow surface is irregularly arranged polygon, which looks like turtle back, so it is called "lava turtle back structure",
This kind of geological structure is also rare in China, and volcanic experts call it the "state" in volcanoes
"Treasure". There are at least three lava flow units in Guibei structure of Shitang, Aershan. The main features are parallel bedding and cross bedding.
