Museum of fossil animals

Hezheng Museum of ancient animal fossils is a national second-class Museum, which was established in 2003. The museum is divided into two parts, phase I and phase II, covering an area of 65 Mu and a construction area of 8000 square meters. There are more than 30000 pieces of fossil animals in the collection, which are divided into three classes, eight orders, 150 genera and species, including more than 50 pieces of first-class fossils, more than 180 pieces of second-class fossils and more than 350 pieces of third-class fossils. At present, the museum basically displays "Hezheng four paleofauna fossil Exhibition" and "Hezheng four paleofauna ecological restoration Exhibition", with a total of more than 1500 fine paleofauna fossils of different periods.
