Kitajima (Paracel Islands)

--Beidao, also known as Changshi (which means "island" in Hainan dialect), is 1500 meters long and 350 meters wide, so it is also known as Changshi.

--Surrounded by sand levees, 3-4 meters above the ground, the flat land is made of dry lagoons, covering about half of the island.

--There are many shrubs on the island, such as houses, pools and solitary soul temples, which are short of fresh water. Chinese fishermen often come to this island to live in tents.
