Renren building

Renrenlou has a strong Russian style. The reason why renrenlou stood on the land of Suifenhe River in the early last century is that it contains not only the humiliating history of the Chinese nation, but also the epitome and witness of the open culture, border trade culture and border culture.

Renren building

"Rentou building" refers to the chechagoufu tea house built in 1914. The three or four storey buildings are carved with "rentou face" relief under the eaves, hence the name.

Content introduction

Renren building is located at the intersection of Xinglong Road and Yingxin street in Suifenhe historical city. It was built in 1914. It was originally Russia's chechagov tea house, used to store and inspect export tea. During the period of the Japanese puppet regime, it was the Japanese consulate, the Dongning county government at the beginning of the liberation, and the garrison barracks in 1952. "Rentou building" is a Russian style square four storey building, with protruding eaves between the third and fourth floors and three-dimensional relief of Western heads under the eaves. Therefore, it is known as "rentou building" and is well-known. On the fourth floor of rentou building, there is a square pavilion with a black spherical spire on the top; the walls are painted earth red, the corners are painted white and covered with black iron tiles; there are stone walls in the north, East and west of the building, and elms and cloves are planted in the walls. Most of the stone walls have been removed, and some old trees have been cut down for the construction of urban infrastructure. In 1984, renrenlou was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Suifenhe City. In January 1999, renrenlou was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Heilongjiang Province with a logo. In 2004, the municipal government carried out protective repair on the building, and gradually opened it to tourists from 2005.
