Huangtan cave

Huangtandong ancient village is located in the surrounding mountains. Huangtan cave

On November 4, 2007, China's first landscape village selection activity ended in Beijing. Huangtandong village, Chengbei Township, Yueqing City, was selected as one of the first "Chinese landscape villages". Only huangtandong village and Zhuge village, Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province were selected. Huangtandong village is located in Chengbei Township, Yueqing City, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, with an altitude of more than 400 meters. It's not easy to visit Huangtan cave. Although there is a local guide leading the way, a mountain road, zigzag twists and turns, sometimes sharp and steep slopes, sometimes high mountains and valleys, even more mist in the mountains, misty waterfalls like training stones, and the language is hazy and indistinct. This village hidden in the mountains of southern Zhejiang is just like a legendary paradise, so it's not easy to be touched.

A village in a mountain depression is like a history stagnated in time and dust. It lies peacefully at the foot of Yandang Mountain, which has long been famous. In Yueqing City, where commerce is prosperous and business is everywhere, it is rare that huangtandong village can be preserved so completely without the disturbance of the noise. Down the mountain road and into the village, it's like entering a quiet world. Surrounded by mountains, green trees and graceful bamboo forests, the village is quiet. It seems that as long as you make a little noise, you will disturb the 600 year old man. In the east of the village, there are wulonghu waterfall and Guangong cave. It was in early summer, and the water was abundant. Wulonghu waterfall was as powerful as a waterfall. The bamboo groves are green all around. A breeze blows by and the bamboo branches dance. With the water vapor in the waterfall and the fresh fragrance of bamboo leaves, people feel relaxed and happy. To the west of the village are the Xilong waterfall and the ancient village gate. The two waterfalls on the East and the West echo each other, each with its own characteristics. The ancient village gate is like the gate of the time and space tunnel, which locks this simple mountain village. The ancient village gate is very dangerous and has the tendency of "one man is in charge of the pass and ten thousand people are not allowed to open it". It has sheltered the villagers for generations. The steep stone walls on the north and south sides of the village rise into the sky, providing a natural barrier for the Huangtan cave. In ancient times, it blocked the invasion of bandits and protected the safety of the mountain village; today, it has become an obstacle to its contact with the outside world. However, it may also be because of the barrier of these mountains that the ancient village is completely preserved away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Two clear streams pass through the village. The stone bridge on the stream connects the village and the countryside succinctly. The stream here is very special because its riverbed is almost made up of mountains and rocks, and the river bed is moving and static. As the sun sets, the flowing water is murmuring and sparkling, the seedlings are fragrant, and the farmers are farming cattle, which is a farming style in southern Zhejiang. In this depression, the villagers say that as long as they speak louder, they can hear from the east to the West and from the north to the south. This is obviously an exaggeration. However, if you are in Huangtan cave, Wenzhou, a prosperous commercial city in China, and you can still maintain such a complete original ecological village, you are not willing to disturb the village at all. This is a kind of quiet and spiritual purification and sublimation brought by Huangtan cave.

Huangtandong village has a history of more than 800 years, with an altitude of more than 400 meters. It is rich in Indigo in history. Now it mainly grows rice, sweet potato, ginger, tea and other crops. The village's ancient buildings, temples, ancestral halls, plaques, wood carvings, as well as ancient customs and culture are still well preserved.
