Taimalixiang
Taimali township is located in the southeast of Taidong County, Taiwan Province, China. It is adjacent to Beinan Township and Taidong city in the north, Pacific Ocean in the East, Jinfeng Township in the west, Daren Township in the southwest and Dawu Township in the south.

The township is backed by the central mountains. Except for the coastal plain, it is mostly mountainous, with the highest altitude of about 2000 meters. The climate belongs to tropical monsoon climate. The residents in the village include two-thirds of the Han people (Minnan, Hakka and new residents) and one-third of the indigenous people (AMI, Rukai and Paiwan). In 2000, the activity of welcoming the dawn of the new millennium made our hometown famous and also won the reputation of "hometown of rising sun".
history
In the early stage of Taimali Township, it belonged to the activity scope of banabanayan society of Paiwan nationality. In Paiwan language, the name of Taimali Township means "fertile land illuminated by the sun". In Qing Dynasty literature, there are some names such as "zhaomaoli", "chaomaoli", "damaoli" and so on.
In 1920, it was named "Taimali" and was set up as a regional service field. Later, it was changed to "taimalizhuang" in 1937 and was put under the management of Taidong county. After the war, Taimali township of Taidong county has been established.
