Guanyin square

Guanyin square, the main project of Guanyin Temple in Dongguan Guanyin Mountain National Forest Park, Guangdong Province, took five years and was completed in August 2006. It covers an area of more than 10000 square meters, with a 33 meter high granite statue of Guanyin weighing more than 3000 tons. It is the largest Buddhist square in Guangdong Province. The completed supporting buildings include Dabei hall, bell and Drum Tower, God of wealth hall, Zhaitang hall and Buddhist culture exhibition hall. In addition, there are "no two ways" gate square, lookout Pavilion, release pool, etc.

Guanyin square is located at the top of the mountain at an altitude of 488 meters in Guanyin Mountain National Forest Park. The environment here is quiet, auspicious clouds are flying, and the vision is wide. It shows the solemnity of the Buddhist holy land. You can not only have a bird's-eye view of Zhangmutou in "little Hong Kong", but also have a view of the night in Huizhou and Shenzhen. It has always been a place for people around you to climb, go hiking and pray for blessings.

According to the relevant person in charge of Guanyin Mountain, during the construction of Guanyin square, Master Sheng Hui, executive vice president of China Buddhist Association, elder Ben Huan, vice chairman of advisory committee of China Buddhist Association, elder Yong Xing, President of Hong Kong Bodhi society, and master Hong man, vice president of Guangdong Buddhist Association, etc. came to give guidance. During the third Guanyin Mountain health culture festival held here during the "11" golden week in 2006, the Organizing Committee held a centenary ceremony for elder benhuan in Guanyin square, and also held activities for 100 eminent monks to celebrate world peace and equality.
