Dushan revolution site group

Dushan revolutionary site group is a national key cultural relic protection unit. It is rare in the country and the only county-level institution site in Anhui province that completely preserves the Soviet period and integrates the party, government, army, culture, education, justice and economy. It is an important base for studying the history of the Communist Party of China and carrying out patriotic education.

In December 2016, the site group of Dushan revolution was selected into the list of national red tourist attractions.

Brief introduction of cultural relics

The former revolutionary sites of Dushan Red Army period are composed of nine key cultural relics protection units, namely, Soviet club, riot headquarters, red guards headquarters, Lu'an county Party committee of the Communist Party of China and Lu'an county Party committee of the Communist Party of China, Security Bureau, Soviet government, revolutionary court, economic cooperative and Lenin primary school. All of them are wooden buildings with gray brick walls, small green tile roofs, wind fire gables and flying stones It has the architectural style of Hui Style and the characteristics of ancient dwellings in Dabie Mountain area. A total of 2488 square meters, 88. In 1981, it was announced as a key cultural security unit at the provincial, county and town level.

Overview of cultural relics

Dushan uprising started the first shot of Liuhuo uprising. The name of Dushan and its great contribution to the Chinese revolution are recorded in the glorious history. Now the nine revolutionary sites left in the town are concentrated in one place as a county-level organization of our party in the early days of the Agrarian Revolutionary War, which is rare in the whole country and the only place in Anhui where the party, government, army, economy and culture were completely preserved in the Soviet period In order to commemorate the heroic achievements of the revolutionary ancestors and show the future generations, the town government raised funds to build a memorial tower of Liuhuo uprising inscribed by Deng Xiaoping in Nantou mountain. Marshal Xu Qianqian wrote an inscription for the memorial tower - the martyrs who died in Liuhuo uprising are immortal. At the same time, together with the former site group of Dushan revolution, it was approved as the provincial patriotic education base by the provincial Party committee and the provincial government.

It was announced as a national key cultural relic protection unit in May 2006 and officially opened to the public on May 6, 2009 after renovation. It is an important base for studying the history of the Communist Party of China and carrying out patriotic education.

The nine old revolutionary sites are ancient buildings from the middle and late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China. They have gray brick walls, wood structure, sand tile roofs, cornices and corners, carved beams and painted buildings. The buildings are exquisite and magnificent. It is known as "Dabie mountain residential Museum" because it combines the characteristics of Dabie mountain residential buildings and the architectural style of Huizhou residential buildings. Dushan revolutionary site group is one of the 100 classic scenic spots among the 30 red tourism routes in China.
