699 cultural and Creative Park

699 cultural and creative park, located in the middle of Shanghai Road, Qingshanhu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, covers a total area of about 150 mu and a total construction area of about 112000 square meters.

699 cultural and creative park was formerly built in 1957 in Jiangxi Hua'an knitting factory. The factory was designed and constructed by Soviet technicians. In 2009, due to business difficulties, enterprise restructuring was carried out. In 2010, Jiangxi Hua'an knitting General Factory was transformed into a cultural and creative Incubation Park integrating all kinds of creative design, cultural education and training, film and television music production, artist studio, exhibition and performing arts, as well as supporting facilities including design hotel and coffee bookstore, sports fitness, personalized catering, etc.

On December 14, 2014, 699 cultural and creative park was approved as a national AAA scenic spot.

Historical evolution

In 1954, Jiangxi Hua'an knitting factory, the predecessor of 699 cultural and creative park, was built in Zhichong Lane (next to Tengwang Pavilion).

In 1957, Jiangxi Hua'an knitting factory moved to Shanghai road. The factory building is designed and constructed by the Soviet construction organization.

In 1958, Shanghai Road living area of Jiangxi Hua'an knitting factory was built.

In 2009, Jiangxi Hua'an general knitting factory was facing difficulties in operation and promoted the restructuring of state-owned enterprises.

On September 3, 2011, the master plan of 699 cultural and creative park was unanimously approved by the Qingshanhu district planning meeting.

On November 26, 2011, "Jiangxi Hua'an knitting factory history exhibition hall" and "699 cultural exchange center" in 699 cultural and creative park were opened to the public free of charge. And held "Nanchang - Shanghai double city culture and Art Festival".

In 2012, 699 cultural and creative park was completed and opened.

On December 14, 2014, 699 cultural and creative park was approved as a national AAA scenic spot.

Layout of scenic spots

699 cultural and creative park covers an area of 150 mu. The whole park is planned according to the "two centers and four areas". In the north of the scenic area, there are youth entrepreneurship center and Alibaba e-commerce center; in the middle of the scenic area, there are intangible cultural heritage area and artistic and creative creation area; in the west, there are cultural communication and education area; in the East, there are creative life service area.

Main attractions

Statue of Mao Zedong

The statue of Comrade Mao Zedong is located at the entrance of the main entrance of the scenic spot. It is about 10 meters high. It is the largest stone sculpture of Mao Zedong in Jiangxi Province. It is carved from a whole block of granite. It was jointly completed by Mr. Cao Guochang, director of the sculpture department of Guangzhou Academy of fine arts, sculptor, and Mr. Zou Daqing, printmaker.

The original statue was built in 1969 to welcome the Ninth National Congress of the Communist Party of China. It was the highest sculpture of Chairman Mao in Jiangxi at that time. Due to historical reasons, the original statue was removed in 1986, and the statue of Mao Zedong was restored in June 2012

699 Art Center, located at the entrance of 699 cultural and creative park, is the first art and cultural exchange center in Jiangxi Province. The art center is divided into two floors. Soviet style factory building

There are dozens of Soviet style buildings and factories in 699 cultural and creative park, which are generally made of red brick. The buildings are symmetrical in left and right, regular in plane, high in the middle and low on both sides, high in the main building, and wide in the corridor. Most of them were changed to various cultural and commercial organizations.

Industrial Memory Plaza

Industrial Memory square, covering an area of about 10000 square meters, is located in the east of 699 cultural and creative park. It displays various large-scale equipment, including the office of the first factory director, old sewing machines, knitting machines, vase collar sportswear that won the national silver award, etc.

Print space

699 original engraving space, covering an area of about 1000 square meters, is located in the middle of the park. The engraving space is transformed from the factory building of the former Hua'an knitting factory and was established in 2014. Printmaking space is a comprehensive space integrating printmaking, exhibition, exchange, academic research and printmaking education. It is a comprehensive printmaking space open to professionals and the public.

699 green space

699 green innovation space, with a total area of about 20000 square meters, is located in the west of the park. It is an upgraded version of the business incubation center, with an investment of 15 million yuan and a high standard construction of an integrated incubation platform. 10000 square meters on the first floor is the office area for youth and innovation, and 10000 square meters on the second floor is the meeting, education, fitness and other work and life supporting center, which was put into use in June 2015.
