The Yellow River Delta zoo is a public welfare and livelihood project of Dongying Municipal Government in 2012. The construction area of the park is about 1000 mu, with a total investment of 450 million yuan. The park was officially opened on October 1, 2013.

On October 8, 2019, the Yellow River Delta zoo was warned by the Shandong Provincial Department of culture and tourism and ordered to rectify for three months.

Introduction to the park

The park is divided into functional areas such as welcome square, happy tribe, animal exhibition area, amusement park and theme restaurant. Among them, there are more than 100 kinds of rare wild animals, such as golden tiger, giraffe, white rhinoceros, ring tailed lemur, in the animal exhibition area, with a number of more than 1000. The playground has parent-child equipment such as big green bug and bubble arena, which can meet the amusement needs of different groups of people. In order to further enrich the tourism resources of the park, the park has also introduced "Aquarium", "6D cinema" and other viewing experience projects.

The Yellow River Delta zoo is a "national AAAA tourist attraction". In January 2015, it was awarded the honorary title of "Shandong science popularization education base". In February 2015, it won the honorary title of "Shandong honest tourism demonstration unit". In July 2016, it won the honorary title of "provincial forestry science popularization base". In December 2016, the "wildlife rescue center zoo rescue station" was established. In May 2017, he won the "May Day Labor Award" of Dongying City.

The Yellow River Delta zoo is the largest comprehensive urban animal park in the Yellow River Delta, which integrates wildlife viewing and protection, popular science education, leisure and entertainment. It is also an important tourism destination for residents in Dongying City and surrounding areas.

Ticket price - peak season: April 1 - October 31 - off season: November 1 - March 31 of the following year

Full price ticket - peak season: 25 yuan / person time, off season: 20 yuan / person time

Half price ticket - peak season: 13 yuan / person time, off season: 10 yuan / person time

Minors more than 1.4 meters (including) shall present valid certificates such as student card or ID card;

Ticket free personnel:

1. Children under 1.4 meters in height (not included);

2. The elderly over 60 years old (including 60 years old) shall be provided with certificates such as senior citizen's certificate; retired personnel shall be provided with certificates of retirement; disabled persons shall be provided with certificates of disability; active servicemen shall be provided with valid certificates;

Notice to Visitors

It is strictly forbidden to bring in, release or take away any animals. Vehicles are strictly forbidden to enter the park (except baby carriage and disabled handcart).

It is strictly forbidden to cross or climb over barriers, fences, power grids and other animal isolation facilities to avoid being scratched or bitten by animals. Please take good care of animals. Do not feed or disturb animals.

Please take good care of the flowers, plants and trees in the garden. Don't pick flowers, break branches, climb trees, hang things with ropes or carve at will.
