Danxia landform of 101 provincial road in Urumqi

--Although the road condition of National Highway 101 is poor, the scenery is excellent. Visitors can take photos, explore, hike and paint here.

--From k33 km to k36 km, the landform looks like Yadan, with rich and gorgeous colors. All kinds of rocks and loess constitute a magnificent Canyon scenery. The mountain has beautiful shapes, including camel, lion and tiger.

--The best photography time of 101 provincial highway should be from the end of May to June, and it's better to arrange three days to visit.

--Because of the poor road conditions, there is no regular tour group on this route. If you go by self driving, you should not enter the route except for off-road vehicles. Even if it rains heavily, you should not enter the route.

Traffic information: S101 provincial road starts at the fork of Xishan farm of national highway 216, which is more than 20 kilometers south of Urumqi, and ends at bayingukou of Dushanzi, which is about 300 kilometers. There are many debris flows and forks on this road. In order to avoid getting lost, you should always drive along the S101 line.
