Zhaxi Island

Zhaxi island is located about 200 kilometers northwest of Lhasa City in Tibet Autonomous Region (between Dangxiong county and bange County in Nagqu prefecture).

On the Zhaxi Peninsula, there are many grotesque rocks, peaks and forests, and the landforms are strange and colorful. There are countless stone pillars and strange stone peaks on the island. Some are like pines and cypresses, some are like noses, and some are like human shapes, all kinds of shapes are vivid. There are also many quiet caves on the island. Some caves are long and narrow like tunnels, some caves are round and shallow, some caves collapse above to form natural skylights, and some caves are full of stalactites. The main scenic spots on the island are: Welcome stone (couple stone), Hezhang stone, good and evil cave, etc.
