Nanbao Ranch

Nanbao ranch is located in the northern plateau of Shangri La. It is a famous ranch in Zhongdian.

The grassland here is vast and the water and grass are luxuriant. Every spring and summer, herds of cattle and sheep roam on the banks of high mountains and lakes, carrying green mountains and facing green water. The cattle are dark, and the sound of pastoral flute is sweet to the ears. People can deeply feel the leisure and leisurely life of plateau people. Due to the lack of access to roads, the transportation is extremely inconvenient, and has not been known by outsiders for many years. Nanbao Ranch

Nanbao ranch is located in the northern plateau of Niru village, Luoji Township, Shangri La County, Diqing Prefecture, Yunnan Province. With an altitude of more than 4000 meters and an area of about 500 hectares, it is one of the best pastures in Shangri La County. There are seven glacial lakes of different sizes nearby, the two largest of which are Nanbao Yellow Lake and Nanbao Black Lake.

From Niru village to Nanbao ranch, there is only the simplest mountain road, hiking or riding. There are two roads, respectively, through Lake seleh and lake Dingru. It takes eight or nine hours to get to Dingru lake and six hours to get to selie lake.

Nanbao Yellow Lake, Nanbao Black Lake

Nanbaohuang lake, called napoco school in Tibetan, means "Yellow Lake in the sky", which is close to napocona. One yellow and one black, magic and charming, complement each other.

Nanbaoheihu lake is called napocona in Tibetan, which means "Black Lake in the sky". The lake is about 4000 meters above sea level. Because of the proliferation of peat moss, algae and lichen at the bottom of the lake, the surface of the lake is black, which is called "Cuona" by Niru.
