The city gallery is an exhibition hall with the theme of Hong Kong's future urban planning and large-scale infrastructure. It is organized and managed by the Hong Kong Planning Department. Its predecessor, the Hong Kong Planning and Infrastructure Exhibition Hall, was opened on July 3, 2002. Its temporary site has been located at the ground floor of 3 Edinburgh square, central, central, central, Hong Kong until April 2009. It was moved to the temporary site of Murray road car park building to make room for expansion and become a permanent exhibition hall. The expansion project was completed in June 2012, opened on August 20, and changed its name to Zhancheng Pavilion, which was officially opened to the public from August 20.
