Old house of Zhuang Lefeng

Zhuang Lefeng's former residence, located at No. 10 Huayuan Road, was built in 1926 and designed and built by foreign architect bohd.

The building faces east and West. The main building has four floors. It is a German courtyard building. There is a cloakroom in the entrance hall. On the first floor, there are anteroom, living room, dining room, bedroom and the hall for holding the ball. There is a balustraded Corridor around the hall on the second floor, from which you can overlook the activities of the whole hall. The external eaves of the building are decorated with warm colors, and the roof is modeled after the French Mansell style. The whole building has complete composition, grand appearance and exquisite interior decoration.

Located at No.10 Huayuan Road, Heping District, Tianjin, Zhuang Lefeng old house is a key protected historic building. Zhuang Lefeng (1873-1949), named Rensong, was born in Danyang, Jiangsu Province. He graduated from Tianjin Beiyang Naval Academy and was the chairman of the Chinese tax society of Tianjin British concession for many years. After his proposal, he began to withdraw 18% of the tax payment of the Chinese in the British concession in 1927 and founded the first Chinese School in the concession, Tianjin public school, which was later renamed Yaohua school. The building was built in 1926 and designed by German architect pierrent. The building is a mixed structure three story building with basement. The architectural style is mainly classical revival, but according to the terrain layout, symmetry is not emphasized; the main entrance and facade of the building are provided with simplified Roman colonnade, and the railings between the columns are decorated with hollow flowers; the French Mansell style roof is adopted; the external eaves and walls are matched with mixed water wall and fair faced red brick wall.
