Jimei church had a church in 1917. Because it was bombed by Japanese invaders during the Anti Japanese War, it worshipped in the believers' homes. During the cultural revolution, worship activities were stopped. After the reform and opening up, Mr. Chen Yonghe, an overseas Chinese in Singapore, knew the situation of the church and allocated his old house to the church. Mr. Chen Yonghe's mother was moved by the Holy Spirit in her early years and wanted to build a church for Jimei when her children and grandchildren developed. Mr. Chen Yonghe knew his mother's instructions and fulfilled his last wish. In 1993, with the support of the municipal and district governments and donations from overseas Chinese, construction began, and Jimei church was completed and delivered in the same year. Jimei church began to use after reconstruction.
