Daming Palace Heritage Park is located on the Longshou site in the northern suburb of Xi'an, which is a national key cultural relics protection unit. Daming Palace is a large-scale Imperial Palace in the early Tang Dynasty. It is located in the forbidden court in the north of Chang'an city at that time. It faces south from the north and is majestic. Daming Palace was first built in 634, the eighth year of Emperor Taizong's Zhenguan reign. It is called Yong'an palace. It is a summer palace built by Emperor Taizong Li Shimin for his father Li Yuan. Before the completion of the project, Li Yuan died. In the first month of the ninth year of Zhenguan, it was renamed Daming Palace. After that, the name of Daming Palace was changed twice, and it was not until 705 that the name of Daming Palace was fixed. Daming Palace covers a large area, 15 kilometers from east to west, 25 kilometers from north to south, slightly wedge-shaped, with a total of 11 gates. The main gate of Daming Palace is named Danfeng gate, and the main hall is Hanyuan hall. To the north of Hanyuan hall, there is xuanzheng hall. To the left and right of xuanzheng hall, there are Zhongshu, menxia, Hongwen and shierguan. In addition, there are more than 30 other halls, pavilions and temples.
