Xiaoshangqiao scenic spot

Xiaoshangqiao is located on the xiaoshanghe River in the south of xiaoshangqiao, huangdimiao Township, Linying County, Luohe City, Henan Province. Xiaoshanghe was named after the king of Shang in ancient times. The bridge was named after the river, and the river was famous for the bridge. Xiaoshangqiao was originally located on the official road of the past dynasties. The bridge is a flat arch open shoulder stone arch bridge, 21.3m long and 6.67m wide. The large arch is 11.6m in height, 2.13M in rise, 1 / 5 in rise span ratio, 0.65M in arch face thickness, 2.13M in clear span, 1.2m in rise height, and 20.2m in space between the small arch feet on both sides. The main arch and the small arch are constructed by 20 arch stones side by side, and each arch stone in the main hole is connected by biting iron. On the top of the arch is carved Taotie (a legendary water sucking beast), stretching out of the bridge. At the lower four corners of the pier, there are high relief statues of Vajra, carrying the arch on both shoulders and holding on both hands. The size is about one foot, with vivid shape and simple style. According to local chronicles, Xiaoshang bridge was built in 584 A.D., but the main structure of the bridge belongs to the architectural style of the Northern Song Dynasty, and has been repaired in yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The largest building was built during the Dade period of the Yuan Dynasty (1297-1307 A.D.). Xiaoshang bridge is an ancient stone bridge with beautiful shape, rigorous structure and exquisite workmanship. It is an important material for studying the history of architecture and transportation. In 1986, xiaoshangqiao was announced as a provincial cultural relic protection unit. In September 1992, Mr. Mao Yisheng, a famous bridge expert in China, sent a three person investigation team to inspect the bridge. He came to the conclusion that the Xiaoshang bridge should be built earlier than the Zhaozhou Bridge in Hebei Province. After being appraised by experts from the State Administration of cultural relics, he affirmed the conclusion and called it "a treasure in the history of bridges in the world".

Xiaoshangqiao scenic spot is located at the junction of Shangqiao village, huangdimiao Township, Linying County, Luohe City, Henan Province and Shangqiao village, Shangqiao Town, Yancheng district. It is 12 kilometers away from Luohe City in the south, 10 kilometers away from Linying County in the north, 107 National Highway in the East and Beijing Guangzhou Railway in the west, covering an area of more than 160 mu. Built in the fourth year of kaihuang (584 AD) of Sui Dynasty, it is located on xiaoshanghe River (the old road of Yinghe River). It is a national key cultural relic protection unit.
