Pofengling, 52km (32.3mi) away from the urban area of Beijing, is located 3km northwest of huangshandian village, Zhoukoudian Town, Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing, adjacent to yuxu palace in baojinshan, Beijing. Since 2009, pofengling has built a 6000 meter long mountain road from a barren mountain. All materials are made of local rocks, while sand and cement are carried to the mountain by manpower. Public transport routes

Bus route: take bus 917 at Liuliqiao station and get off at Zhoukoudian intersection station, then transfer to bus fang32 and get off at huangshandian Cunkou station, 200m (660ft) to the West.

Subway route: take Fangshan Line of Beijing subway to SuZhuang station, walk to SuZhuang station, transfer to bus No. 907, 917, Fang 15 and Fang 31, take to Zhoukoudian passenger station, transfer to Fang 32 and get off at huangshandian Cunkou station, then go west 200m (660ft).

Self driving route

Get off yancunqiao exit of Beijing Hong Kong Macao expressway, drive 15.7km (9.8mi) along Jingzhou road to Zhoukoudian, drive 4.8km (3.0mi) into Zhouzhang Road, turn right and drive 6.2km (3.9mi) into Xinsi Road (former zhouhuang Road).

Jingkai Expressway takes the ramp from shuangyuanqiao to the Sixth Ring Road, drives 18.6km (11.6mi) from Fangshan Liyuan bridge to Jingshi Expressway, drives 3.3km (2.1mi) from Doudian north exit, turns right to greater than road, drives 1.2km (0.75mi), turns right to Dadu Road, drives 1.1km (0.68mi), turns left to Yanzhou Road, drives 11.9km (7.4mi), and turns left to Fangyi road Turn right to Xinsi Road (former zhouhuang Road) and drive 3.6km (2.2km), turn left to Zhouzhang road and drive 500m (0.31mi), then turn right to Xinsi Road (former zhouhuang Road) and drive 6.2km (3.9mi).
