The Hubei Henan Anhui revolutionary memorial hall was built by Xinyang Municipal Party committee and government to commemorate the great achievements of the martyrs and carry forward the spirit of Dabie Mountain. Located at the intersection of Beijing Road and 107 National Road in Xinyang City, the memorial covers an area of 30000 square meters. It was completed and opened on April 28, 2007. The memorial hall displays the exhibition in chronological order, showing the formation, development and growing process of the revolutionary base area of Hubei, Henan and Anhui in the way of thousands of words, pictures and hundreds of objects, focusing on the major historical events that took place on the land of Hubei, Henan and Anhui in each historical stage from the great revolution to the liberation war. The memorial hall has become one of the first national defense education demonstration bases in China, patriotism education demonstration base in Henan Province, and clean government education base in Henan Province.

In February 2020, in order to pay tribute to the medical workers who are struggling in the front line of anti epidemic, the scenic spot will implement a free and preferential policy for medical workers from the date of resumption of operation to December 31, 2020.

Structure and scale

Hubei Henan Anhui revolutionary memorial hall is located at the intersection of Beijing Road and 107 National Road in Xinyang City, which is reconstructed from the Red Army square.

"Hubei Henan Anhui revolutionary memorial hall" is a memorial hall inscribed by Jiang Zemin, with red as the keynote, the "thousand" character leaping into the Dabie Mountains as the architectural model, the sculptures of 100 generals, the map of Hubei Henan Anhui red base area and the names of 300000 martyrs as the wall relief, showing the heavy revolutionary history of Xinyang and reflecting the brilliant achievements of the heroes in the old areas during the war

The Museum covers an area of about 30000 square meters, with a building area of about 6200 square meters and a total height of 16 meters. For the first time, it comprehensively, systematically and vividly shows the glorious history of the old revolutionary base areas of Hubei, Henan and Anhui in the past 30 years.

Commemorative significance

The memorial hall opened on April 28, 2007 to commemorate the great achievements of the revolutionary martyrs and the 60th anniversary of the victory of Liu Deng's army in the Dabie Mountains

The exterior wall and roof of the memorial hall adopt non parallel inclined planes, which are regular and changeable, and inclined to form a stable structure. The decoration of Chinese red means that the land where the martyrs founded is as solid as a rock.

In terms of exhibition content, the memorial focuses on displaying more than 1000 precious photos and more than 300 revolutionary historical relics in each period of the Hubei Henan Anhui revolutionary base, among which the themes of "Deng Xiaoping in wangtaiwan" and "Liu and Deng's army marching into Dabie Mountain" are highlighted. In terms of high-tech display means, the memorial hall adopts phantom imaging, interactive projection, electronic book flipping, electric chart, dynamic image, plasma touch screen, large-scale electronic map, electronic induction playback, etc., and uses sound, light and electricity comprehensively.

Xinyang is a famous revolutionary base, the capital of Hubei Henan Anhui Soviet Area, the cradle of the Red Army and the hometown of the general. More than 100 Xinyang generals, such as Xu Shiyou, Li Desheng, Wan Haifeng and you Taizhong, went to the whole country from here.

The museum is one of the first anti-corruption education bases in Henan Province, and is a patriotic education demonstration base in Xinyang City

Free policy

In February 2020, in order to pay tribute to the medical workers who are struggling in the front line of anti epidemic, the scenic spot will implement a free and preferential policy for medical workers from the date of resumption of operation to December 31, 2020. All medical staff (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) can enjoy the free tour of the scenic spot with their valid certificates (doctor's license or nurse's license).
