Yunpeng Library

Yunpeng library is located in the first middle school of Luxi County, built in 1933. The library is now the library of Luxi No. The library is a Chinese style building, with five single eaves buildings and corridors on all sides. It is 26.1 meters wide, 5.8 meters deep and 11.6 meters high. It was announced as a cultural relic protection unit of Yunnan Province in 1993. Yunpeng library was donated by Zhang Chong and named after Yunpeng. Zhang Chong (1899-1980), Yi nationality, was born in Luxi County. In his early years, he served as division commander and commander of Yunnan army. He made great contributions to the Northern Expedition and the Anti Japanese War, especially to the Taierzhuang war. After liberation, he was vice chairman of Yunnan provincial government and vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee.

Yunpeng library was built with the donation of Zhang Chong, with the name of "Yunpeng" written by Zhang Chong. Zhang Chong (1899-1980), Yi nationality, was born in Luxi County. In his early years, he served as division commander and commander of Yunnan army. He made great achievements in the Northern Expedition and the Anti Japanese War, especially in the Taierzhuang campaign. Later, he joined the Communist Party of China in Yan'an. After liberation, he served as vice chairman of Yunnan provincial government and vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference.

Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture is located in Yunnan Guizhou Plateau in South Yunnan. Therefore, to travel in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, we should avoid the summer and autumn when it is hot and rainy, and the best time is from March to April and from September to November when the light is mild and the rainfall is less.
