Zizidong cliff painting is located on the East Bank of Nanpanjiang River, 70 kilometers southwest of Mile County, with an altitude of 1700 meters. In May 1985, an ancient cliff painting with a length of 8 meters and a height of 3 meters was found on the cliff of jinzidongpo. The picture was seriously damaged, but there were 66 recognizable figures and 17 Yi characters. The characters and paintings were all red, and the pigment was hematite powder mixed with animal blood or fat. The content of the painting is based on the meaning of the five big characters of the Yi nationality, and three of the 12 characters in the three lines below the left, which means dancing every day or playing every day. It is known from the pictures of the sun and stars in cliff paintings that they mainly show the ancient people's worship of nature and ancestors. Cliff painting has a history of more than a thousand years, that is, the Tang and Song dynasties or earlier. In 1988, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Mile County.

The rainy season in Honghe Prefecture is mainly from May to October, and the frost period is from late November to January and February of the next year. Therefore, to travel in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, we should avoid the summer and autumn when it is hot and rainy, and the best time is from March to April and from September to November when the light is mild and the rainfall is less.
