Yude middle school was founded in 1905 (the 31st year of Guangxu reign of Qing Dynasty), and was named "Zhili Nagong Temple public primary school of higher education". In 1907,

Chen Youyun and other 13 alliance members transformed it into a "private Yude middle school" in Baoding. Chen Youyun served as the school supervisor (principal) and used the school as the secret base for Hebei Branch of China Alliance Association in Baoding. It is the first place to spread Marxism Leninism in the ancient city of Baoding. It is also the earliest birthplace and activity center of local Party organizations in Baoding. It was once one of the five famous middle schools in China.

It's at 35 jintaiyi street, Baoding city. It was originally nagongci primary school. In 1907, Chen Youyun, the head of the Hebei Branch of the alliance, joined 12 colleagues to change it into a private middle school and named it Yude middle school. Chen Youyun was the principal of the school. During the Anti Japanese War, he moved to Yancheng and Xixia in Henan Province, merged into the national No.1 middle school and renamed the branch of the national No.1 middle school. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he moved back to Baoding, where he was in fuyude middle school and was incorporated into Baoding No.1 Middle School in 1948. Yude middle school has a long revolutionary tradition. During the 1911 Revolution, it was the headquarters of Hebei League Association. Later, it was the first place to spread Marxism Leninism in Baoding. From 1917 to 1920, four "preparatory classes for studying in France" were set up, with 213 graduates and 93 overseas students. They trained a large number of excellent talents for our party. Liu Shaoqi, Li Fuchun, Li Weihan and others all studied here. In 1918, Mao Zedong and Cai Hesen also came to the university to meet with the preparatory students studying in France. There are only brick and wood structure, Chen Youyun ancestral hall and a row of classrooms in the old site, covering an area of about 600 square meters. In 1983, the site was restored and turned into a "memorial hall for work study in France". On June 16, 1992, Jiang Zemin inscribed the name of the memorial hall.
