Jinhua Aiqing Cultural Park

Aiqing Cultural Park is a part of the three rivers and six banks green belt of Jinhua city green space system. It is located on the South Bank of Yiwu River, Jindong District, Jinhua City, and on the north side of the administrative center and commercial and cultural center of Jindong District. It is adjacent to Kangji street in the East and Binhong road in the West.

Aiqing Cultural Park was built in April 2004 with a total investment of about 30 million yuan. The park covers an area of 130000 square meters with a total length of 1600 meters.

Function orientation: an open cultural park with riverside characteristics. The park is designed by Ai Weiwei, the son of Ai Qing and a famous artist. Using modern art concepts, the park perfectly integrates Ai Qing's poetry culture into the park. Aiqing Cultural Park is generally divided into three parts: the central square and the green space on the East and west sides. The central square is located in the center of the park, covering an area of 10750 square meters. The large sculpture "hymn of light" on the central square is composed of 36 natural stone columns with a square of 1.2 meters, which are arranged gradually according to the height. The stone column is up to 9.7 meters high. It is integrated with the theme sculpture "reef" of urban defense engineering on the same axis, and becomes a complete artwork. A beam of rays through the pillars, as if a number of notes beating in it. This is the theme sculpture "hymn of light" in the central square of Aiqing Cultural Park, which is composed of 36 natural stone columns with a square of 1.2 meters, arranged in gradient according to the height. The stone column is up to 9.7 meters high. It is integrated with the theme sculpture "reef" of urban defense engineering on the same route, and becomes a complete artwork. The park is designed by Ai Weiwei, a famous artist who is the son of Ai Qing. It shows the flowing artistic conception of Ai Qing's poems from different angles through the unique modeling and the melody changes of light and shadow.
