Dongpo Lake Park

Dongpo Lake Park is located in the eastern suburb of Dongpo District, Meishan City, Sichuan Province. It is close to Minjiang River Dike in the East, Minjiang River Bridge in the south, Daiba community in the west, wangjiadu natural water area in the north, with a land area of 300 mu and a water area of about 100 mu. The park is designed by Sichuan University.

Geography

The construction of Dongpo Lake Park started in June 1997 and was completed on December 31, 1998. It took one and a half years for the park to open. The completion of Dongpo Lake Park has ended the history that Meishan had no park for 1500 years.

There are famous scenic spots nearby, such as Sansu temple, dongpoli commercial water street, Dongpo Urban Wetland Park, etc.

Landscape

The design of Dongpo Lake Park emphasizes the cultural connotation of Dongpo in the natural environment, and focuses on the embodiment of culture, entertainment, interest and leisure. It is an urban leisure park with different landscape and functions, combined with the ecological and natural environment, and integrating gardens, architecture, sculpture and natural landscape. The park has a swimming pool, children's playground, rockery, boat dock and leisure tea garden and other entertainment and leisure places. The scenic spot has a variety of landscape systems with different characteristics, such as Gongde stone stele group sculpture, Art Square, beach water works, curved bridge, corridor bridge and waterside pavilion platform. The garden also planted a variety of rare plants, such as Chimonanthus praecox, Rhododendron, camellia, Osmanthus fragrans, palm, Cinnamomum camphora, etc.

Dongpo Lake Park vividly and naturally sets off the connotation of Dongpo culture. Through artistic techniques, Dongpo spirit and the style of the times are well integrated. It is a good place to encourage us to inherit Dongpo culture and carry forward Dongpo spirit, and also a good place for urban people to have leisure and entertainment.
