From May 8, Lanzhou children's Park, which has been open for 25 years, will be closed for renovation. After the transformation, the children's Park will be built into a citizen square with an area second only to Dongfanghong square. The new children's Park will be located in Yantan, with a new site area of more than 300 mu, more than double the original area. Nowadays, due to the serious lack of financial resources, serious aging of equipment, many equipment in disrepair, children's Park has been unable to provide good entertainment for children. In addition, there are highways on all sides, and the surrounding environment is very unsafe. As a result, the address of the children's Park does not meet the conditions for children's play. Therefore, in accordance with the overall planning of urban construction and the requirements of Lanzhou Yellow River 100 Li style line planning, Lanzhou municipal government relocated the children's Park, rebuilt an open citizen square on the spot, and planned the surrounding traffic roads. After reconstruction, the area of the citizen square is only second to that of Dongfanghong square.

The area of the new children's Park under construction is about 800 mu, 10 times that of the original one. It will become the best planned and largest children's Park in Northwest China.

Ecological park project

The large-scale children's park with an investment of 500 million yuan and the ecological park with an area of more than 1300 Mu are under negotiation with relevant forest property rights units. The construction of the project will effectively solve the prominent problem that there is no large-scale activity site for more than 700000 students in Lanzhou. The 80 mu children's Park project has gone through international bidding. Due to the special geographical location and environment of Lanzhou, in order to expand the urban area, promote the "West extension and South extension" and expand the urban space, Lanzhou city has started the project of mountain relocation and land making in recent years.

The area of the new children's Park is about 10 times that of the original one. The new children's Park will maintain the nature of amusement and children's interest, and create a colorful "fairy tale kingdom" for Lanzhou through "teaching and entertainment" in swing umbrella, super swing, Ferris wheel, Ocean Museum, knowledge lighthouse and magic tunnel. According to the plan, five years later, children can travel around Kyushu "fairy tale kingdom".
