There are two Xisha sea battle martyrs' cemetery: Xisha sea battle martyrs' cemetery in Hongsha town and Xisha Chenhang Island martyrs' cemetery.

Xisha sea war martyrs cemetery in oujiayuan, Hongsha Town, Sanya City, Hainan Province, was built in 1975. It is built to commemorate the 18 martyrs who died in the Xisha naval battle in 1974. Five of them are buried here. They are Feng Songbai, Jiang Guangyou, Zhou Xitong, Wang Chengfang and Zeng Duanyang. They are the martyrs' cemetery at the southernmost tip of the motherland. Sanya Municipal Party committee and municipal government lead the memorial ceremony every year on Qingming Festival. They are an important patriotic education base in Hainan Province and learn the glorious deeds of martyrs.

Combat background

In January 19, 1974, the government of South Vietnam in Xigong ignored the repeated warnings of the Chinese government and launched a frigid attack on ships and aircraft. Expansion project

In July 2016, it took more than two months to complete the construction of Xisha Naval War martyrs cemetery located in Chenhang Island, Sansha city. The main monument of the new cemetery is 9.8 meters high and made of white marble. On the back side of the main monument, a naval battle introduction wall was built to show the whole process of the naval battle in the form of pictures and texts. There are also 6 stone nameplates commemorating the war ships and 18 stone nameplates commemorating the martyrs in the cemetery.
