Jilin Changchun North Lake National Wetland Park, also known as Changdongbei urban ecological wetland park, is located in the North Zone of Changchun high tech Zone in the northeast of Changchun City, Jilin Province. The wetland park has completed a green area of 3.15 million square meters. There are a total of 51 willow species and 739 trees on the willow bank, including Salix matsudana, Salix bungeana, Salix canadensis, Salix ramosissima, Salix mandshurica, Salix Mantou, Salix SanRui, salix mongolica, Salix songjiangensis, Salix Hedysarum, Salix babylonica, Salix koraiensis, Salix Americana, etc. In addition, 186 varieties of trees and 159700 shrubs were planted.

The overall layout of the park is "two zones, three zones" - a cascade Natural Suitability structure with natural and artificial natural transition and good integration.

"Two zones" Inner Lake area: Based on the protection of original pond wetland habitat, integrating diversified urban service functions such as landscape sightseeing, leisure and entertainment, and taking human activities as the main body.

"Two areas" Inner Lake area and outer river area: Based on ensuring water conservancy function, integrating natural landscape, biological habitat, leisure and ornamental functions, and taking natural habitat as the main body.

"Three belt" urban leisure functional belt: close to the Urban Development Zone, it creates a city leisure block full of vitality, unique artistic features, rich activities and service facilities.

The "three zones" ecological transition zone of Changdao, the boundary between the inner lake and the outer river, is the ecological "backbone" of the park and the channel for the integration of human and nature. It can form a complete natural habitat gradient of lake pond slope forest, change the flat and monotonous space feeling of the scenic spot, increase the landscape level and adjust the spatial proportion.

On December 31, 2012, the State Forestry Administration approved the construction of Jilin Changchun North Lake National Wetland Park (pilot); on May 29, 2014, it was approved as a national 4A tourist attraction; on December 29, 2018, Jilin Changchun North Lake National Wetland Park passed the pilot acceptance of the State Forestry and grassland administration and officially became a national wetland park.

Infrastructure

Yitong River is a river with frequent flood disasters for a long time. The section from Sihua bridge to yijianpu bridge of Yitong River is a key flood control project in the construction of Wetland Park. The construction of wetland park can also better solve the problem of sewage and garbage pollution. About 650000 cubic meters of sewage directly or indirectly flows into this area every day in the north section of Yitong. The qianqianbao dump covers an area of 260000 square meters, and 2.4 million cubic meters of domestic waste and construction waste are mixed. No anti-seepage measures are taken, causing serious pollution to the surrounding surface water and groundwater. It is the main source of pollution in the Hebei section of Yitong, causing deep pollution to the water system in the Hebei section of Yitong and making the living conditions of the surrounding people extremely poor. After the completion of the project, it can realize the three functions of flood control and drainage, environmental management and ecological restoration. Through the pollution control of qianqianbao dump (closed site) and the sewage treatment (closure) in the flood control area of Yitong Hebei section, the surrounding production and living environment will be better improved, the living environment on both sides of the Strait will be improved, and the comprehensive capacity of the city will be enhanced.
