Niushou mountain in Yinchuan
Niushou mountain in Yinchuan is located on the East Bank of the Yellow River 20 kilometers south of Qingtongxia City, Ningxia. Niushou mountain is named because its main peaks, Xiaoxitian (Wenhua peak) and daxitanian (Wuying peak), stand in the north and south, just like Niushou mountain.
The ancient temples in Niushou mountain were first built before the Tang Dynasty. They are divided into two parts: "West Temple" and "East Temple". "It can be as high as the famous mountain resorts of Sifang Jiuhua, Putuo, Emei and Wutai, and the inspiration of Liji group is endless". It is a famous temple in Shuofang and the largest ancient Temple group in Ningxia.
Main attractions
The East Temple group, with jinbaota temple as the center, has 19 temples from east to west, such as Baoan Temple, sheshenya temple and shuifo cave; the West Temple group, built on the mountain and facing the river, is composed of 26 temples, such as Wanfo Pavilion, Jingtu temple and Guanyin hall.
Every year on the 15th day of the third month of the lunar calendar, temple fairs, temples and temples are crowded with cigarettes, monks and pilgrims. There are overlapping mountains, verdant vegetation, vast sea of clouds and endless changes. In ancient times, it was praised as "beautiful as lotus".
