The stadium has 34740 square meters of stands, 4560 square meters of 8 + 1 runway, 20000 square meters of training ground and 7680 square meters of turf. The stadium has 60000 seats for spectators, 500 seats for the rostrum and 300 seats for journalists. The total capacity of the stadium is 80000.

The construction of Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium started in August 2003. The design scheme is completed by Japanese Sato comprehensive planning company, which highlights the three concepts of "Green Olympics", "science and technology Olympics" and "people's Olympics". The whole central stadium covers an area of 78000 square meters and a building area of 158000 square meters. The stadium is 380 meters long from north to south, 270 meters long from east to west and 53 meters high. The design is divided into six floors. It can not only meet the requirements of international football and track and field competitions, but also has a number of auxiliary facilities, such as sales field, exhibition hall, conference hall and fitness room. It is a comprehensive stadium integrating people's leisure, entertainment, fitness and shopping. On the first floor, there are 22670 square meters of indoor parking, 3460 square meters of exhibition space and dining room There are 6400 square meters, 5930 square meters of health center and 4010 square meters of competition houses for athletes and referees; there are 3840 square meters of exclusive stores, 130 square meters of health center and 85 square meters of International Conference Center on the second floor; there are 4320 square meters of fitness hall, 130 square meters of health center and 85 square meters of International Conference Center on the third floor; there are 4166 square meters of box and 85 square meters of International Conference Center on the fourth floor There are 3030 square meters, 1440 square meters of health center, 345 square meters of International Conference Center and 1300 square meters of health center on the fifth floor.

Tianjin Olympic Center is located in the southwest of the city, with Weijin South Road in the East, Shuishang West Road in the west, Lingshui channel in the South and Binshui West Road in the north. The total investment is US $880 million. The area is divided into three areas: competitive area, comprehensive area and residential area, covering a total area of 96.6 hectares, including 45.3 hectares of competitive area, 28 hectares of comprehensive area and 23.3 hectares of residential area.
