Hung Hom

At present, most of the buildings in this area are residential buildings. However, in the past, this area was a comprehensive development area, including industrial (Whampoa dockyard), commercial, public housing estates and private housing estates. However, with the redevelopment of the old district (the demolished Valley Road estate) and the large-scale reclamation of Hung Hom Bay, the district has become a residential area. With the relocation of honghom wharf, the newly reclaimed land includes private housing estate, peninsula Haoting, Hongwan Peninsula, student dormitory of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, etc.
