Jardine house, also known as Kangle building, is located at No.1, Kangle Plaza, central, Hong Kong. The building is 52 Stories (178.5 meters) high. It was built by the land company of central, Hong Kong. It was completed in 1973. It is the first skyscraper in Hong Kong. In the 1970s, it was the tallest building in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.

On June 1, 1970, the Hong Kong government auctioned the "king of land" in the central reclamation area. The land area was 53000 square feet and the reserve price was HK $53 million, attracting 18 consortia to bid. The land price was HK $2.158 billion, which was the record of the highest land price per foot in Hong Kong at that time. The building was built by Kinmen building. It took only 16 months from the start of construction to the flat top. The construction speed was also a record at that time. Jardine Plaza was completed in 1973. It was the first skyscraper in Hong Kong and became the tallest building in Hong Kong at that time. It was replaced by Hopewell centre in the early 1980s.
