Ma Lan Lou

"Malanlou" is the most common house in Bamei village. The two-story pole column building, with red brick and green tile, double eaves embracing the chamber, is simple and practical. In the middle of the ground floor is the main hall, which is also the center of the host's daily activities. Business, conversation, spinning and embroidering clothes, eating and so on are all carried out here. There are three master bedrooms on both sides. The second floor is a wooden structure. It goes up the stairs along the wooden ladder. There is a large warehouse in the middle, where grain and rice seeds, dried fish and bacon, farm tools and spinning wheels are stored. There are also three or two bedrooms on both sides.
