historical background

Jingke pagoda was built for the ancient righteous scholar Jingke, also known as shengta Yuanta. The pagoda was built on Jingke's tomb, which was made of sand and stone. It is the former site of Jingke hall in ancient times, and also Jingke's tomb. The tomb is 34 meters high and covers an area of 2400 square meters. Crown Prince Dan of Yan said goodbye to Jing Ke and knew that he had gone or not, so he took his clothes and made a fake grave and buried it in it. In the third year of Qiantong reign of Liao Dynasty (1103 A.D.), the pagoda and temple were built on Jingke's tomb. After that, it was rebuilt and repaired in every dynasty. In the third year of Qiandao reign of Song Dynasty (the seventh year of Dading reign of Jin Dynasty, the 24th day of maoshuo in 1167 AD), Liu Kai, the assassin, returned to his hometown. He used 200 pieces of relic to store them in gold bottles and silver pavilions, buried them in the underground palace and rebuilt the pagoda. At that time, Yi was under the jurisdiction of Jin Dynasty and was not the place of Liao Dynasty. However, the inscription on the tablet was "a record of rebuilding the sacred Pagoda in Yi Prefecture of Liao Dynasty". The inscription was made in the Southern Song Dynasty. It can be seen that the local people naturally did not forget their homeland.

After Zhang Rou began to build Baoding mansion and lotus pond in Yuan Dynasty, he built stone statues in front of Jingke's tomb, planted pines and cypresses on the mountain, and retained several trees at the beginning of liberation. In the sixth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1578), it was rebuilt, and the shengta temple was changed into a courtyard. Next to the pagoda was a tree. In May of the fourteenth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1586), Xiong Wenxi, the imperial censor, inscribed "jingkeli, an ancient righteous man", unified the stele. In the sixth year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1721), the stele was merged again. In 1986, the people's Government of Yi county carried out maintenance.

Therefore, the mountain has the Ming Dynasty "ancient Yishi jingkeli" stele, the old legend has Jingke yiguanzhong and Jingke Museum, so the name. The pagoda was built on the mountain. On the tablet of Qing Dynasty, there are some words such as "Xinyu pagoda is set up for the mountain and Jingke pagoda", so it is commonly known as Jingke pagoda. Jing Ke? (227 A.D.) during the Warring States period, a man from the state of Wei tried to assassinate King Qin for Prince Dan of Yan and died.

On the stone tablet erected in the Ming Dynasty in Tanan, there is the inscription of "ancient righteous scholar Jing Ke Li" by Xiong Wenxi, the imperial censor in the 14th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, and his evaluation. On the north side is a remnant tablet of the Qing Dynasty. On the forehead of the tablet, there is the word "record of rebuilding shengta Temple". The inscription has been eroded by wind and rain, which is hard to identify. The main idea is that there is a temple beside the tower, named "shengta Temple", with pavilions and pavilions. On the mountain, there are Jingke hall and yiguanzhong site. When it is warm and sunny, scholars often gather here to drink and write poems. The author is Jin Tianzhu (1736-1795), whose name is Beigao. He was born in Nanjing and of Hui nationality. He once served as the foreword class (professional translator) of the fourth translation Hall of Hanlin Academy during the reign of Emperor Qianlong. It is recorded in Yi county annals.

Cultural relics protection

In June 2006, shengta yuan tower was listed in the Sixth Batch of national security units, and Jing Ke was later listed as a historical and cultural celebrity.

significance

The spirit of "respecting the virtuous and valuing righteousness" and "fighting bravely". Jingke died for the state of Yan, which is also passed down through the ages. Jingke tower also attracted countless literati to indulge in chanting. Besides Jingke pagoda, there are also the mausoleum Pagoda in Xueshan town of fan Yuqi, the swallow Pagoda in taizidan, the black Pagoda in zuobetao and the White Pagoda in yangjiaoai, which are also known as "five pagodas town of Yanshan". These buildings interpret the word "Yi" from different angles. Among the five towers, Jingke tower is in the middle.

Related literature

From ancient times to the present, there are countless poets who chant Jing Ke as the title, only those who record in historical records, and no less than hundreds of celebrities. Tao Yuanming's poem "chanting Jingke" in Jin Dynasty says: "although the matter is gone, it's sad for thousands of years"; Li Bai's poem "knot socks" says: "feel your grace, promise your life, Mount Tai throw light feather". Wang Zhen, a famous scholar of Yizhou in Ming Dynasty, wrote in his poem "autumn wind of Yishui": "it's no worry to send a letter to pass to the East. Why should Jingqing get rid of snow feud?". There is a poem left by some people in the present age, saying: "the isolated pagoda is in the desolate suburb, the wind is cold, and birds gather all over the eaves of the pagoda. The territory of the king of Yan is still here today, and the spirits of the brave men have not yet returned. "
