Gongga Mountain is located in the eastern edge of Qinghai Tibet Plateau, in the middle of Daxueshan mountain of Hengduan Mountain system, between Dadu River and Yalong River. "Gongga Mountain", which means "the highest Snow Mountain" in Tibetan, is one of the most unique glacial wonders in China. Its main peak is 7556 meters above sea level and its platform is covered with ice and snow all the year round. The valleys and hillsides below the snow line are covered by dense primeval forests. Surrounded by forests and clear lake water, they always maintain their original and beautiful natural features. With Gongga Mountain as the center, there are Hailuogou, Yanzigou, MUGECUO, Gongga temple, Wuxuhai, Gongga south slope and other scenic spots. This is a famous mountain favored by mountaineers. You can find inner peace in this holy mountain by walking or riding.

Gongga snow mountain, 55 kilometers south of Kangding City, is the main peak of Daxue mountain. Gongga Mountain, 7556 meters above sea level, is the highest mountain in Sichuan Province, known as the "king of Shu mountain". Mountain peak forest, ice hard snow deep, dangerous, is a very popular mountain climbers.

The height of Gongga Mountain is far beyond the general famous mountains in the mainland. After climbing on it, you can see the snow covered area creeping at the foot of the mountain. The vast field of vision and the sense of achievement generated by the height of the mountain are definitely worth climbing. Because the altitude of the mountain is not comparable to that of other mountains, the climbers are required to be fully prepared so as not to give up halfway due to fatigue and cold. Most climbers climb from the northwest Ridge Route, which is also the experience summed up by predecessors.

Transportation: in Kangding, there is a special coach to Gongga mountain. There is a cable car at the foot of Gongga Mountain, which can take tourists up the mountain. The price is about 160 yuan. (the price here is for reference only, please refer to the actual price.).

Reminder: the best season for tourism is usually in the alternate period of dry season and rainy season from May to June every year. It is suitable for tourism because there is high temperature but not too much rainfall during this period.

Accommodation: you can live in Moxi Town, which is the accommodation Center for Hailuogou and Gongga mountain. There are many hotels and hot spring convalescent centers to meet the needs of tourists. There are three main campsites in Gongga Mountain Hailuogou scenic area: No.1 camp is located at the mouth of daganyangou, about 11km away from Moxi; No.2 camp is located near shuishuigou waterfall, 6km away from No.1 camp, with many surrounding scenic spots, such as nearby forest and hot spring; No.3 camp is located about 2km away from glacier viewing platform.

1. Starting from Xinnanmen station in Chengdu, you can get a bus to Hailuogou every morning. The ticket price is about 120. The whole journey takes 6-7 hours. You can get off at Hailuogou (Moxi town) at the foot of Gongga mountain

2. Kangding has a special coach to Gongga mountain. There are several buses from Chengdu Shiyang station to Gongga Mountain and tianwanxia every day

Internal transportation

There is a cable car at the foot of Gongga mountain to take tourists up the mountain. The price of the cable car is 160 yuan per person. You can see the ice waterfall by the cable car
