Xinglong Park

The extended and flat concrete footpath in Xinglong park is a great attraction for joggers, straight pulleys and other sports loving residents. In the garden, maple, banyan and other tree species have dense branches and leaves, and there are also arch bridges, weeping willows, flower corridors, pavilions, children's ice rinks and other facilities.

Xinglong park is located in the southeast suburb of Beijing, 7.8km away from Tiananmen in the west, and between the East Chang'an Street extension line and Chaoyang Road in the north and south. The park covers a total area of 1017 mu.

Xinglong Park

Xinglong Park (formerly known as Xinglong pianlin) was initially built on February 22, 1992 and completed in December 1995. It covers a total area of 1017 mu, with eight hills and 45 mu of artificial lakes. The total investment is about 30 million yuan. The baiyushi bridge on the lake becomes a central landscape. On the west side of the lake is a waterside pavilion, on the south side of the mountain is an octagonal double eaves Pavilion, and on the north side of the lake is a moon Pavilion. There are more than 20000 trees and shrubs in the park, forming the early Xinglong forest. In March 2002, it was approved as a first-class park by Beijing Municipal Bureau of landscape architecture.

Historical evolution

It covers a total area of 780 mu, with 9360 square meters of roads, eight hills and 45 mu of artificial lakes. The total investment is about 30 million yuan. Through the planning, to form a number of scenic spots, small lake water Qujing cluster quiet, white jade bridge on the lake into a central landscape, the west side of the lake for the pavilion, the south side of the peak built on an octagonal double eaves Pavilion, North Lake for the pavilion. Up to now, the park has 16 years of history. There are more than 81000 trees and shrubs in the park, with various leisure and entertainment facilities. In March 2002, it was approved as a first-class park by Beijing Municipal Bureau of landscape architecture.

Landscape in the park

There are eight hills, 45 Mu artificial lake, more than 81000 trees and shrubs, and various leisure and entertainment facilities. In 1994, Liu Huaqing, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, personally led 58 generals to plant trees in the park, leaving behind a memorial forest of generals. Now, the forest has become a special scenic spot in the park.

Scenic spot highlights

There are many trees in Xinglong Park, with dense shade and grass, singing birds and fragrant flowers. There is also a lake, rippling blue waves, which can be used for boating or fishing. In the north part of the park, there is AMAS club. If you pick up a good horse and run in the dense forest, you can express your ambition.

Urban transportation: bus route: take bus no.639, 488, 855, 411, 342, 388, 846, 648, 731 on Chaoyang Road, get off at Gaojing station and get to the north gate of the park; take bus no.728, 312, 649, 506 on Jingtong Expressway and subway Batong line, get off at Gaobeidian station and get to the South Gate of the park, and get to the west gate of the park 200 meters north of Gaobeidian intersection.

Best travel time

Scenic spots belong to temperate continental semi humid monsoon climate. Four distinct seasons and concentrated precipitation. In spring, it is dry and windy, with large temperature difference between day and night; in summer, it is hot and rainy; in autumn, it is sunny and rainy, with suitable temperature and sufficient light; in winter, it is cold and dry, with more wind and less snow. The best travel time is may, September and October.
