Jitang Dong Village

Ji Tang is located in the hill, gathered into a triangle. In 1538, he was separated from Zhaoxing village. It is said that in ancient times, there were deep mountains and dense forests. There was a pond in the mountain. In Dong language, the ridge was called "Ji" and the pond was called "Tang", so it was named Jitang. There are three drum towers in Jitang Dong village, one in Xiazhai, two in Shangzhai, and one in Xiazhai is the most spectacular. It was first built in the late Qing Dynasty and repaired in 1927. It was damaged in 1966 and renovated again in 1980. In February 1982, the people's Government of Guizhou Province announced it as a key cultural relics protection unit at the provincial level.
