Caves 7 and 8 are also called Double caves because they have the same shape and layout of statues. The difficult journey of Sakyamuni's pursuit of Tao in cave 7 is depicted. When you walk through the more than 30 relief paintings, the extraordinary life of Sakyamuni will be clearly presented in front of you. This is probably the intention of the sculptor at the beginning.
Thousand Buddhas are carved on the right wall of cave 7 and the left wall of cave 8. In the lower part of each wall of the front rooms of the two caves, there are carved lines of offering people and kneeling lines of offering heaven. Above the lines of offering people, there are carved wooden houses.
