At first, the belief of the LORD was related to the God of pestilence, so it was often necessary to put the boat (the king's boat) carrying the statue of the LORD out to sea to drift or cremate and send the Lord away, so as to protect the auspiciousness of the village. Later, the belief of Wang Ye was gradually upgraded. People regarded Wang Ye as the great God of protecting the territory and the people, but they prayed for security through the burning of the king's boat and other ceremonies.
