Mingtan legend Museum

When you come to Sun Moon Lake, it's hard not to hear the legend of Zhang Liangui, the legendary old man of Sun Moon Lake. Zhang Liangui, who was born with a pair of skillful hands, once joined the army in New Guinea during the Japanese occupation. After returning to his hometown of Riyuetan, he used his skillful hands to weave numerous handicrafts and set up the Zhang Liangui Museum beside Riyuetan.

Although Mr. Zhang Liangui has passed away, his son, Zhang Wenyao, has set up the legend Museum of Mingtan in his home. It displays various works made by his father during his lifetime, including the world's tallest 101 building, the four handed net of Sun Moon Lake, the boat house, and various woven baskets. His works can be created in bottles. The reputation of "legend old man" is well deserved.
