Wanzilou is a landmark building with historical value in Taiyuan. Wanzilou was a library built by Yan Xishan in memory of his father Yan Ziming in the spring of the 26th year of the Republic of China before the Anti Japanese war in Taiyuan. It was planned to be called "Ziming library", so it was also called "Ziming library". But soon after Taiyuan fell, wanzilou was appropriated by the Japanese invaders. After liberation, the people's government set up Taiyuan Library on the basis of this place, which can be regarded as restoring its original use.
