Development history

Ten thousand years ago, the volcanic eruption formed seven craters of different diameters and underground caves formed by magma flow. The broad-leaved Korean pine forest formed on the original bare land is the climax community of forest succession, commonly known as "underground forest"

There are vast forests, lakes and mountains, everywhere like songs and dreams, mysterious, showing the natural beauty of primitive ecology. Every year, it attracts a large number of Chinese and foreign tourists and makes them forget to return.

Crater Forest Park was officially approved by the Ministry of forestry in 1991 and won the title of "civilized Forest Park" in 2001. Leaders at all levels have given great support and care to the development and construction of the park. Central leaders such as Jiang Zemin, Li Peng, Li Ruihuan, Jiang Chunyun and Wei Jianxing have successively visited the park. Chairman Li Ruihuan once wrote an inscription for this place: "green mountains grow up here, blessing our descendants.".

According to the overall planning and design, the park is preparing to build a one-stop service facility of food, housing, transportation, tourism and purchase, with an estimated investment of 230 million yuan.

Volcanic crater National Forest Park is located in Ning'an City, Heilongjiang Province, 92 kilometers away from the city center, adjacent to Jingpo Lake National Scenic Spot in the southeast and Bohai Kingdom site of Tang Dynasty in the East. In August 2001, a Wild Amur tiger was found here, injuring four horses, leaving a witness worthy of animal experts to study the Wild Amur tiger. The lotus growing in Xiaobei lake has been identified by experts as Heilongjiang red lotus, 135 million years ago, known as "living fossil of the biological world". In midsummer, the lake is full of red lotus, competing for fragrance and beauty.

Underground forest

The crater Forest Park is mainly composed of four scenic spots: Xiaobei lake, crater forest, lava cave group and Yuanyang pool, among which the crater forest is the most famous. The trees in these forests all grow at the bottom of the crater. There are seven huge craters in the park. These craters were formed by the collapse of the top after the eruption of ancient volcanoes. The largest crater has a diameter of 500 meters. After the eruption of the ancient volcano, once again after thousands of years of vicissitudes, a large area of lush virgin forest formed here, which is the famous "underground forest".

Unique ancient wood

There are quite a few rare tree species here, such as Korean pine, Tilia amurensis, yellow pineapple, fish scale spruce, and so on. Many trees are more than 35 meters high and are said to have grown for more than 400 years. There are many different kinds of trees, each of which is unique - the so-called couple tree and tree stone landscape. The oldest one is a yellow larch. It is said that the tree is 600 years old and covered with red cloth. All of them are made by tourists to pray for good luck. There is also a kind of pine called smelly pine, which can change color according to the season. When it changes into a slight purple, it will give off a very light odor. Among the lush, decadent and lying trees can be seen everywhere. Below the soil layer is lava. The soil layer is not thick. Sit in the sky

At another exit, there is a Tilia amurensis. This tree is called welcoming tree or peacock tree. At the entrance of xiongshiyan cave, clusters of strange looking ferns grow on the cliff. It's called volcanic flower. Its fruit is called volcanic fruit. It's said that it has special curative effect on many diseases.

Living fossil of Honglian

It is said that this kind of stone can remove peculiar smell when put in the refrigerator, whether it is so unknown. In fact, volcanic rocks are absolutely not rare. Jingpo Lake area can be seen everywhere, and there are many underground forests, the largest of which is about five Jin.

Xiaobeihu

It is another beautiful place in the scenic spot. This lake is a high mountain barrier lake. The lotus growing in the lake has been identified as Heilongjiang Honglian by experts.
