Wenjing river is an important tributary in the middle reaches of Minjiang River. It originates from the mountainous area on the western edge of Chengdu Plain, flows through Chongzhou city and Dayi County, and flows into Minjiang River in Xinjin County. The 325 meter long Wenjing corridor bridge, known as the "No.1 corridor bridge in Chengdu", has red walls and green tiles. The layout of the landscape integrates corridor, city, street and scenery. The project proposal of lijiayan reservoir has been approved by the state, and the construction period is expected to be 54 months. Lijiayan reservoir project is one of the first batch of pilot projects in which social capital is involved in the construction and operation of major water conservancy projects at the national level.

Lijiayan reservoir is a national major engineering project. Its development task is mainly to supply water for urban and rural areas, and to provide emergency standby water for the city, taking into account the comprehensive utilization of irrigation and power generation. The total capacity of the reservoir is 172 million cubic meters, the installed capacity of the power station is 7500 kW, the average annual power generation is 33.01 million kwh, the total static investment of the project is 4.105 billion yuan, and the initial total construction period is 54 months. After the completion of the project, the annual average water supply will reach 278 million cubic meters, which can provide emergency reserve storage capacity of 33.25 million cubic meters for Chengdu water supply. It is of great significance to effectively solve the problem of single water source in Chengdu central city, ensure the safety of water supply in the central City, and improve the water supply guarantee level and risk resistance ability

Lijiayan reservoir is located on Wenjing River in Huaiyuan town of Chongzhou City, 45 km away from Chengdu, which is one of the better water sources in Chengdu. Wenjing river has stable water quantity and good water quality, and it has the topographical and geological conditions to build a reservoir. Moreover, the inundated area of the reservoir area is small and the environmental impact is small.
