DAWULING tourist area is located in the north of Maoming City, 38 kilometers away from xinyicheng District, covering Xinyi and Gaozhou. DAWULING is composed of Yunkai mountains and dozens of peaks with an altitude of more than 1000 meters. The mountains are continuous and towering. Among them, there are 29 peaks with an altitude of more than 1500. It is a forest park and nature reserve integrating ecological protection, scientific research, tourism and vacation, and alpine recuperation.

It is said that in ancient times, there was a Tianhu lake. The base of the lake was a huge Nanyu stone, so the lake was also called Nanyu lake. If you often bathe in the lake, it will make the bather beautiful and white as jade. Therefore, every year in midsummer, the seven fairies in the heavenly palace would fly to the lake and bathe for a whole day. One day, the cowherd came here to graze. Suddenly, he saw seven auspicious clouds falling from the sky and slowly landing on the lake. With the disappearance of the clouds, seven beautiful girls appeared. I saw them playing in the water, laughing and singing, and taking off the jade clothes. Brother Niulang, who had seen this situation before, couldn't help exclaiming in his infatuation. Hearing the voice of the peeper, the seven fairy maids were extremely surprised and couldn't avoid it for a moment. A fairy in red sprayed a mouthful of immortal Qi on the surface of the lake. In a moment, the immortal Qi turned into a cloud, like a mushroom ball. It grew more and more, blocking the sky and the sun. It spread all over the mountains below the Bayu lake. Since then, it has been surrounded by clouds all day long, hence the name DAWULING. It is said that the fairy disappeared on the lake after the clouds cleared that day. Only brother Niulang was as stupid as wood. However, brother Niulang was so stupid that Dafu fell in love with the fairy in red from then on. It's also his destiny, because the earthly Nanyu lake is so attractive to Fairies in the sky
