Pudu River Nature Reserve
Puduhe nature reserve is located in Luquan County, covering an area of 11 hectares. It aims to protect the rare and endangered plant Cycas Panzhihua. In 1984, it was established as a provincial nature reserve.
Cycas is a kind of ancient relict plants, and also the most primitive group of seed plants. There are only 110 species of Cycas in one family in the world, mainly distributed in tropical and subtropical regions. There are 10 species of 1 genus in China. Puduhe Provincial Nature Reserve is one of the narrow and concentrated distribution areas of Cycas Panzhihua, which has high scientific research and protection value. Kunming is suitable for tourism throughout the year, but the best time to travel is from March to October, which is the time with the most beautiful scenery. When Yunnan's ethnic minorities have the most festivals, it is also the season with the most fruits and flowers. At this time, it is more interesting to travel to Kunming, and the harvest will be great. Snow mountains can be seen in early spring and March.
