Guimen watchtower

Guimen mountain, 35 kilometers southwest of Shengzhou City. Guimen mountain is called lumen mountain. Because Zhu Xi wrote "Guimen" here, lumen was changed to Guimen. The building of Guimen watchtower can be divided into two parts: watchtower in the East and lumen Academy in the West. The Academy was founded by Lu Guishu, a scholar of the Southern Song Dynasty. Zhu Xi, a famous Neo Confucianist, once gave lectures here. Zhu Xi's inscription "Guimen" was engraved on the north gate. The watchtower was built by LV Zujing, the son of LV Guishu. The present building was rebuilt in 1798. There are also inscriptions on Mei Shu around, which were written by Zhu Xi when he visited LV GUI Shu. City Protected Historic Site.
