Yiji Notre Dame Temple

Located in WoLonggang, Southeast of Heshan village, Pingsong Township, Heshun County, Shanxi Province, Yiji Notre Dame temple was listed as the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 2006.

Yiji Notre Dame temple was built in Song Dynasty and rebuilt in 1321 and 1338 respectively. The temple is built close to the mountain and faces north from the south. It is composed of the upper and lower courtyard and xianzehou shrine, covering an area of 8400 square meters. There are Notre Dame hall, Xian hall, eyesight hall, pox rash hall, Bailong hall and Yaowang hall in the upper courtyard, archway, Mountain Gate, stage, east-west corridor room and Zen hall in the lower courtyard, and the temple of Marquis Xianze includes Dawang hall, insect king hall, Yama hall, God of wealth hall, earth temple and mountain gate. Notre Dame hall was built in Yuan Dynasty, and the rest was built in Ming and Qing Dynasty. Notre Dame hall is three in depth and three in width, with single eaves resting on the top of the mountain. Four Dougong pavilions are used for single copy and single lifting. The beam structure is six rafters and three columns are used for the back breast

Yiji Notre Dame Temple

Yiji Notre Dame temple, founded in Yuan Dynasty, covers an area of 2600 square meters. In the temple, the plane layout is compact, and the halls and platforms are stacked high. At the northernmost end, there are wooden archways, four columns and single eaves, with a height of 10 meters. In front of the temple, there is a plaque on the front with five characters of "Yiji Notre Dame Temple". On the back is inscribed "xianzehou Temple". Follow the archway in front of the temple and you can see the stage of Notre Dame temple. This stage faces south from the north. Under the stage is the passageway. On both sides of the stage are the bell and drum towers. The bell and drum tower extends further on both sides, which is the Lingguan temple.

"County annals" contains: "Heshan, mountain name. Under the two springs, a Niangzi spring, clear turbulent, far and near ten villages to drink. A Lang Junquan came out from time to time. The second ancestral hall of Yiji goddess and Xianze Marquis was built There are two temples mentioned here, and we have to explain why. The inscription: "Ban Gu of the Han Dynasty said:" Lady Yiji is the daughter of xishugu (the leader of the ancient tribal alliance). Lady Yiji has the virtue of being gentle and virtuous. After her death, she is a God. Her younger brother hou can make the clouds shine and moisten the people. In the Song Dynasty, she was named the goddess of Yiji and the Marquis of Xianze. During the reign of Jiaolong, the Taizu of the Song Dynasty, she built a temple and enjoyed sacrifice. "

Heshan is a natural and beautiful place. Behind the temple is Jubao SONGFENG. Around the temple, there are 36 hills, just like 36 dragons.

Heshan is the place where the gods protect the people. Yiji Notre Dame Temple includes: Yiji Notre Dame, the God of fertility, Bailong, the God of Dharma protection, Zhang Taiwei, the God of Yinfu, and the God of Zhenshan. The temple of xianzehou includes: the God of Almighty, the great king, the God of wealth, the God of earth, the God of driving locusts, and the God of hell.

One spring more than 500 years ago, Wang Yunfeng came to Heshan to worship the gods and wrote an impromptu poem: "in April, when it was clear and rainy, he came to worship the gods with his father and his elders; in front of the eaves, there were many new swallows, and only pine trees on the side of the bridge; encircling the East, the west, the north and the south, he returned to the thirty-six peaks in the Zhou Dynasty; the Lingquan suddenly passed through the present and the ancient times, and who was responsible for the swirling thirst and flowing?" Different from our understanding, Wang Yunfeng thinks that the turning back of the 36 peaks is "strange", and the intermittent flow of spring water in summer and autumn is "spirit". That is to say, there is a spirit spring of the 36 peaks in Heshan. At the end, he puts forward an eternal question: who made the spring flow back as soon as it came out? The answers include the theory of the spirit of the Virgin Mary, the theory of tears, and so on

Judging from the current situation of nature, Niangzi spring below flows all the year round, while Langjun spring above flows intermittently, which is indeed the "wonder" of nature. When you watch the clear water flowing out slowly, and then the sound of it vibrates all over the country, rushing straight down, and then slowly falling back into the mysterious mountain embrace after dozens of minutes, how can you not be shocked by the wonder of nature? How can you not ask: who dominates the wonders of the world? In fact, 10000 people have 10000 answers, which is the charm of Qiquan.

Before the 1980s, the villagers (now) only heard its name, but did not see it; in 1986, they built a wooden archway, and the spring water flowed again, but not every year; from 1992 to 1996, it was fully maintained, and flowed every year; in 2002, the spring water was developed and used to solve the problem of drinking water for human and livestock, and it has come back to the present. The difference is that since last year, the outflow has broken the time limit of abundant rainfall in summer and autumn. Last year, the outflow of Tourism Festival was at the end of autumn. On the first day of February in the lunar calendar, after the heavy snow, the leaders and experts who planned the large-scale development of Heshan scenic spot had just left, and the spring water actually broke the natural rules. On May 25, 2006, Heshan historic site was listed as a national cultural relic protection unit. Who is responsible for this? It is the creation of nature, the protection of human beings, and the harmony between human and nature.
