Historical situation

Shagou Gongbei was built in the Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty, covering an area of more than 300 mu. There are thousands of tombs, most of which are the tombs of Muslim celebrities and philosophers.

Earthly influence

During the Haiyuan earthquake in 1920, Ma Yuanzhang, the seventh generation leader of zhehrenyemenhuan, died. He was first buried here (later moved to Huanghuagang in Zhangjiachuan), so he has long been a place of Muslim worship. Every year on the eighth day of the eleventh month of the lunar calendar, Hui people from Yunnan, Jilin, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia and other provinces and regions come here to participate in the Memorial Day activities.

It was destroyed by the Haiyuan earthquake in 1920 and then restored. It was destroyed again during the "Cultural Revolution"; after 1980, it was restored one after another and basically restored to its original appearance. The architectural style of that year was reappeared by using water mill brick carving as decoration.
