Taichung Metropolitan Park

Taichung Metropolitan Park, located at the junction of Xitun district and Shalu District, is close to the highest point of Dadu terrace, covering an area of 88 hectares. It was opened in 2000.

Overview of the park

Taichung Metropolitan Park is positioned as "metropolitan Forest Park" in design concept, which provides large open space, vast green space, green and beautified visual landscape, diversified recreational activities, natural resources and other functions. Taichung Metropolitan Park has become a leisure space for people in Taichung area. It also has the functions of urban green space buffer zone, disaster prevention and refuge. Meanwhile, the environment of vegetation, pools and wetlands in the park has become a habitat for animals.

Looking to the East, you can see the Taichung basin, the Dakeng and Fengyuan mountain areas; while looking to the west, you can see the Taiwan Strait and the Taichung port. The ships on the sea are quite clear. It is a "Metropolis ecological park" with excellent vision.
